Optimist kayak club is located on the northern coast of Israel, near Kibbutz Sdot-Yam. It is a place where a group of keen kayakers gather every morning for an early bird paddle. Either we kayak north along the coast of the ancient city ruins of Caesarea towards the town of Jaser Azarka, or go south along the sandy surf beach for an exercise paddle and play in the surf. At the end of every kayaking session and after a hot shower, we relax with a cup of tea or coffee, and everyone is ready to start their day at their “real jobs”. |

We drive up north to circumnavigate the Sea of Galilee, for a 2 day trip, or drive south to kayak in the desert, on the Dead Sea. We also have multiple day trips along the whole Mediterranean coast of Israel, and enjoy playing on the white water of the Jordan River. |

In addition to kayaking in Israel we go on kayaking trips abroad to paddle in places like Cyprus, Turkey, the Greek Islands, Alaska, Croatia, Slovenia and the UK. If you are on a short or longer visit to Israel don’t hesitate to join any of our morning or day paddles. As well as being a kayakers paddling club, our place is also a kayak gear shop, (sea-kayaks, sit-on-top’s, and surf and the place to meet and chat if you are a seaman or sea woman. |
